Palestinians have staged a demonstration in the occupied West Bank to denounce a planned visit by US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo to an Israeli settlement there. Protesters gathered near the city of Bireh, which is close to the Israeli settlement of Psagot. They burnt tires while holding banners and Palestinian flags. Anger has been mounting ever since Pompeo unveiled hi plan to make a trip to the settlement. Several local Palestinian officials, including the governor of the West Bank city of Ramallah joined the protesters to denounce the US secretary of state.
